ASR Proportional Valve

The WABCO Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) Proportional Valve helps support smooth and controlled braking in commercial vehicles. It controls the position of the governor lever on the injection pump using the pressure that is regulated through to the cylinder to help lower the risk of wheel spin during braking.

Features and innovation

Helps maintain ASR control, even if the driver continues to accelerate
Moves the injection pump adjusting lever towards the idle position via the ASR positioning cylinder
Controlled by a central ABS ECU
Causes the engine output to increase again to the level selected by the driver via the accelerator pedal, or until another speed regulation cycle begins
