This course imparts basic knowledge of compressed air braking systems in motor vehicles and trailers. These are the main topics that will be dealt with:
- Basic functions of device control and physical principles
- Statutory provisions relating to braking systems
- Introduction to Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR)
- Air suspension fundamentals, system example of a conventional air suspension system
- Design and operating mode of typical braking systems for towing vehicles, buses and trailers
- The operating principle of the most important devices in compressed air braking systems
