The course aims to provide an overview of the operating system of electronically controlled air suspensions, of the individual electropneumatic components, of its current and new applications on different vehicles (trucks, trailers, buses) and of the advantages related to safety in special applications such as ESAC. In addition, the active function on the buses called kneeling will be described.
The course contents are as follows:
- Description of the system and its principle of operation with regard to the pneumatic components inserted
- Software management ECU (Centraline Electriche)
- Remote Control Unit (Remote Control) functionality
- Angular and traditional level sensors
- ECAS solenoid valve and successive generations, ECAS3, ECAS4
- Count and Timer ticks
- Air suspension Tor-press/Dia-Press
- Management of ECU parameterisation
- BUS applications and Kneeling function
